My Live/Work Space

Stuffed and stacked floor to ceiling
Sealed cartons, boxes, parcels, pouches
Years of same-day, next-day deliveries
Unopened due to dreading a breach in the value chain
I’m not stable enough anymore
To take that kind of chance.

Deep into all day happy hour
Drinking the Earliest of Times
Ghosting the world
Bingeing on methods of euthanasia
As well as the greatest Subreddits
In hip hop history.

Fearing good neighbors
Knocking at the door
Prounouncing the K
KnocK KnocK KnocK
Be trying to save me
Somekindaway.

Capitalism will try to save me
There’s simply no DNR in capitalism’s DNA
Ain’t nobody seen a profit yet
In helping people off themselves on demand
Capitalism does not thrive in a vacuum
Which is what I’m pretty much assuming death is.

Religion will try to save me
Threatening holiness
Might even deny me my resurrection
The way things are right now
Such that I might not be coming back as a Slater cat,
Or a Baca cat or a Shaw tortoise.

Right side of the dirt
Is usually my answer.
When she asks how I am
While I’m thumb stuffing bullets into a magazine
Slamming that magazine up inside the frame of the firearm
Racking the slide and now there’s a round in the chamber.

If you find a non-violent way
Let me know, I always say
Send me a text how
Before you actually do it
When she says
I’m ready to kill myself.

If only life came with a side of
Of the right to not exist
A supplement to the policy
And the life ending medication
Would be available at the mini-mart
Next to the nicotine pouches and energy drinks.

I’d leave a stack on the table
In a diamond studded platinum money clip
Some for the product, most for a tip
Tell the driver keep it all
Freeing me in my final moments
To enjoy the 20 percent off coupons in my feed.

Nothing will save me
I won’t allow it
Asleep in five minutes
Twenty-five minutes later
Peacefully passing
Ctrl-Alt-Done.

Waiting for the Mobile Shower to Open

There’s no recovering from the sight of
Lettrist skaters rolling through
An abandoned helicopter pad
In a once desirable neighborhood
Spiked wrist cuffs, feathered head gear
Trafficking in language shrillingly loud
Causing the aunties to quake in the crosswalk
Like June bugs being shaken in a tiny wood cage.

A tumbril atilt
Corner of E Cigs and Vape
Out tumble the trundled
That layered look
Like a relief map of an archipelago
Or Atlantic salmon
Playing blackjack
At an Indian casino in California.

I think the problem is
People with umbrellas
Selling solar door to door
The sun gets cast to another screen
The map’s not to scale
And early blight is curtains if you’re a tomato
It’s a small town
But super expensive.

Sports

FOOTBALL

The Notre Dame game was on
Dad played varsity
God loves a winning team
Nobody was watching.

I sat at a table and transferred money
To expunge my niece’s misdemeanor
It’s $3500 if you don’t appeal
Data updated - No data - Touchdown.

WRESTLING

It might be a spiritual awakening or
It might be I’m experiencing
A mega bipolar episode
Per the checklists on the internet
The symptoms are identical
Aways getting pinned
In loser leaves town matches.

While I"m Thinking About It

“A woman may find the easier path to loving her body is to alter herself.”
(NYT 09/22/24)

Human beings slaughtered by other human beings
Is yesterday’s news. Today’s news is
Human beings slaughtered by other human beings.

So you needa be stepping to a secure future
Browsing never before sensed sensations
Postured, engaged and interacting.

Refine your body with this
Signature premium softgel,
Mad hood sourced or marine based,

Transformative
In a destination sort of way,
Sure to put a smile on any face.

Discover your world.
Make it more than a shore excursion.
Bet on yourself.

Protect your devices
While protecting your legacy.
Take cash from your home without touching your mortgage.

Socrates said "Know thyself."
Technically that pisses me the fuck off.
I say know yourself better.

Throw out the old playbooks.
Soft and absorbent ended yesterday.
Now it’s strong, thick and absorbent.

It all goes back to that whole
Sea otters have no blubber thing.
I mean I’m not gonna lie like

Part of me says suck on hard candy
And the other part me says
A healthy gut delivers the mail.

You are a priority.
Set permission to action.
Unearth your gem journey.

Use your mirrors.
Pay off credit card debt without a loan.
Choose freedom.

Interesting Questions

Hot or iced?
If surrealism was born from
The chaos of a world war
What is born from the chaos of
Whales swimming upstream?

Are you happy there?
Does your husband know?
Have you talked?
Can you share?
Is regular milk OK?

Free Day

All public transit options
Bus, train, light rail
Everybody rides for free on Free Day.

Please be advised we human detritus
Who usually ride for free every day
May experience periods of inconvenience.

The librarian seemed too full of literature
But happy enough
To ride the train into work for free.

Speaking of happy
Happy hour begins right now
Can you say Hi?

I told myself I said
If I’m not back in five minutes
Don’t come looking for me.

I said what did I say I said
If I get drunk enough I shall
And I did all three.
